MTPS Ltd trading as Meridian Wills, will writers, are no longer trading but the liquidators passed on much of their paperwork and stored Wills to us at www.WillCustodian.co.uk who (as well as services to the public and to the industry) provide a rescue service for clients documents in these circumstances, without taking on any liability for services provided by the the original firm.

We do not approve of advance payments for lifetime services except for storage with an Institution (such as the Society of Will Writers) and especially not for ongoing advice. Our service provides ongoing advice (via specialist Will Writers) in conjunction with the introducing Will Writer if there is one: if the Will Writer retires, we merely arrange for another to provide that advice. We collect a small annual or monthly subscription sufficient for us to pay our expenses in the forthcoming year, and that is it. We at Will Custodian understand that Meridian attempted to return many documents, but did not have correct addresses. We have many hundreds of Wills and have written to the last known addresses of those involved (as at 3rd January 2005). Many letters have been returned as there was no database of up to date addresses, and addresses had to be manually obtained from Wills.
We understand that there are many other companies with similar trading names who are in no way affected.
